Local communities, businesses, homes, wildlife reserves, protected flora and fauna are facing destruction as a huge construction project in Stratford, East London, begins in preparation for the London Olympic Games 2012. Manor Garden Allotments, worked for over 100 years by generations of local people, is soon to be another victim of the bulldozers. This series of large-format photographs aims to capture a sense of the unique character of the allotments before they disappear.
