The portraits are part of the ongoing series "The Kids Are Alright" and give the viewer a glimpse into the private world of the so-called 'urban youths', a tag coined by the media and often used for the delinquent and troublesome. The images show the young people's normality without sensationalizing or caricaturizing their lives, capture their humanity and show that the subjects are essentially no different from you or me. The photographer works with the charity Kids Company.
